Christianity has played an important part in shaping Ireland's history and culture for may centuries – Ireland is known the world over as the land of "Saints and Scholars". Ireland is an ideal destination for religious based tour programs given the concentration of early Christian shrines and other popular religious sites such as Knock, Glendalough, Croagh Patrick and Trinity College which attract many pilgrims each year.
O’Connor Autotours have participated in Religious tour programs for many years and understand the need to not only see Ireland's Religious sites but also to have adequate time to experience their ambience. Any religious itinerary can also be interspersed with non religious tourist attractions and of course spectacular scenery to achieve a balance between faith and fun.
The following is our featured 2013 Celtic Cross Tour itinerary which includes some of Irelands most prominent Religious sites. This itinerary is a ready made Religious program to Ireland and suitable for groups as small as 6 up to a suggested maximum of 24 to retain the intimacy and spirit of such an experience. In addition itineraries can be customised to each groups requirements and it is also possible to request that the visiting tour leader concelebrate Mass with the local priest enroute.
Accommodation and entrances are all arranged in consultation with our Travel Resource Partners who have economies of scale and this enables us to ensure that our Religious Programs are sensibly priced & flexible to include seasonal rates.
Ideally, this itinerary is suitable for Church, School and Community Leaders with an interest in Irelands rich religious history and we would certainly welcome any enquires. Please contact us for full details.
An integral part of any tour and in particular a Religious tour program is the Driver guide so we would like to introduce Michael Clifford our Religious Tour Director .
